The waterfalls is located about 20 km away from the Friendship Bridge that connects Paraguay and Brazil.
The height of the waterfalls is about 40 m, and it is famous as Paraguay’s cataract.
Monday Waterfalls is in the Monday Municipal Park, a natural sanctuary, covered with about nine hectares of thick tropical forests where small animals and birds live.
The park is fully equipped with a foot bridge an observatory, a parking lot, paved walkways, drinking fountains, rest rooms, a small souvenir shop, and a coffee shop for the many tourists who enjoy picnicking, strolling, camping, and such.
From the observatory and the foot bridge you can have a beautiful view of the falls and Monday River Valley.
There is a trekking path where you can observe wild animals and birds as you walk towards the basin of the waterfalls with a guide or instructor.
You can also enjoy rock-climbing in summer.

Guarani International Airport in Ciudad del Este City (Paraguay);
Cataratas International Airport in Foz do Iguassu City (Brazil); and
Iguazu International Airport in Puerto Iguazu City (Argentina)
Land route:
3 km to Monday Waterfalls from Ciudad del Este City which, across the national border, is on the opposite side of Foz do Iguassu City (Brazil). Go along San Blas Street, Alejo Garcia Street, and Bernadino Caballero Street, and then arrive at Presidente Franco City. All of these streets are paved, while the road to the waterfalls from this point is unpaved.
