Bonito (BONITO)

It is 280 km from Campo Grande City, the capital of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul in the midwestern area of Brazil. Bonito is located in the mountain range of Bodoquena (Serra da Bodoquena) to the south of the famous Pantanal marshland.
This region is popular for its natural beauty with an abundant ecosystem, beautiful rivers and lakes with amazing clarity, caves, quays and so on.

Bonito is an attractive town not only for its beautiful nature but also for the utilization of the area痴 enduring natural beauty as a resource for tourism to revitalize the region.

The town aims at balancing the existence of tourism and the protection of the natural environment by employing a system of tourism that promotes environmental preservation.
All rivers, lakes, limestone caves, and forests representing Bonito are in private grounds so any sightseeing done is led by special tour guides through authorized travel agencies.
Therefore, the number of tourists who may visit major tourist spots in Bonito is limited.
